Simon Bieber

Simon Bieber is a founding partner of Adair Goldblatt Bieber LLP.

Simon’s practice in both the U.S. and Canada has focused on commercial/corporate litigation, class actions, directors’ and officers’ liability, securities litigation, and professional negligence. Simon has represented a broad range of clients, including various professionals (including lawyers and accountants), directors and officers, and other public and private companies.

Simon’s practice includes regularly arbitrating and mediating commercial matters. The arbitrations typically involve the interpretation of commercial agreements, price adjustments and disputes over fair value.

Simon graduated from the University of Memphis School of Law in 2005 with its Gold Medal. After practicing in Memphis, Simon returned to Canada and joined the litigation department of Stikeman Elliott LLP. Simon was the managing partner of Wardle Daley Bernstein Bieber LLP before co-founding Adair Goldblatt Bieber LLP.

Simon has been recognized as a “Rising Star” as one of Canada’s top 40 lawyers under 40 by Lexpert and for his work in corporate and securities litigation. He has also been recognized as a “Litigation Star” by Benchmark and is described as a “great lawyer” by Chambers and Partners. In 2019, Simon was invited to become a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, an organization recognizing excellent trial lawyers whose membership comprises less than one-half of one percent of North American lawyers.

Simon has appeared at all levels of Court in Ontario and has been involved in a number of ad-ministrative proceedings, including those commenced by the Ontario Securities Commission, the Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan, the Alberta Securities Commission, the British Columbia Securities Commission, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and Alberta, the Certified General Accountants’ Association of Alberta, the Law Society of Upper Canada, and the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal.

Simon authored a monthly Directors’ and Officers’ Liability Newsletter and a monthly column in Canadian Insurance Top Broker. He co-authored a text published by LexisNexis titled “Directors’ and Officers’ Liability in Canada”. He has also written a number of other articles on directors’ and officers’ liability and speaks frequently on that topic.
