Today, Chambers & Partners released the Chambers Canada 2027 Guide, differentiating the best legal talent across a range of provincial, national and international law firms in the country. AGB is incredibly proud to announce that our firm and lawyers have again been recognized for litigation excellence, across an increasing number of litigation practice areas. This year has been no exception. Our firm continues to be included—and has risen—within in Chambers' top-tier category for commercial litigation: Litigation: General Commercial - Elite. Inclusion in this "Elite" category recognizes our boutique as a true litigation heavyweight, alongside the country's leading full-service firms and other leading litigation firms.

Our firm has also been recognized this year for Litigation: Securities, recognizing our deep expertise in this highly technical and regulated area—acting for regulated professionals facing investigations and prosecutions, regulators themselves, and as both plaintiff and defence counsel in securities-related class actions.  

However, more important to us than these labels is our clients' experience. Chambers' research reveals that, in addition to noting the strength of our knowledge and advocacy in a broad range of complex litigation, our clients consistently emphasize our ability to quickly master their cases and partner with them to drive practical, commercially-focused results and solutions. It is therefore no surprise that growing numbers of our lawyers continue to be recognized individually by Chambers, with new AGB lawyers added to the rankings with each passing year: 

• Robert Stellick joins the Chambers rankings this year as an "up and coming" lawyer for Litigation: General Commercial. Chambers' research notes Rob's "masterful client service" and tactical, results-orientated approach that "identif[ies] the right angles, focus[es] on the issues that truly matter and guide[s] us toward practical solutions rather than unnecessary escalation."  

• Nate Read-Ellis, described as "fantastic lawyer", "go-to for litigation counsel", and having "a very good command of strategy", has risen in the ranks for Litigation: General Commercial.

• Gord McGuire has risen in the ranks this year for nationwide for Insurance: Dispute Resolution, with one client noting that "Gord serves his clients with diligence and focus and he can be counted on to provide sound and well thought out strategic advice." 

• Julia Wilkes is has risen in the ranks this year for Litigation: Administrative & Public Law. This year, her clients note that "Julia knows what she is doing, has a strong knowledge of administrative law and really sets herself apart with her personable approach." Peers describe Julia as "experienced in the field and highly thought of by her competitors." 

• John Adair continues to be ranked for Litigation: General Commercial. He is noted as a "tremendous advocate...extremely good on his feet and adds expertise and value." He "knows how to cut to the heart of the case, spotting the issues which matter and knows how to press on them."

• Simon Bieber joins the rankings this year from Litigation: Securities, and continues to be ranked for Litigation: General Commercial. He is "commended by market observers for burgeoning reputation in commercial advocacy" and his "wide-ranging contentious practice". Clients describe him as "a tremendous advocate and great strategist."

• Jordan Goldblatt continues to be ranked for Litigation: General Commercial, with research noting that he is "exceptionally well respected, hard-working and admired by all parties with whom he deals."
