Jordan has acted for clients before judges, juries and arbitrators throughout Ontario. He represents licensed professionals, professional associations, insurance companies, and both private and public corporations across issues spanning general commercial, tort, professional responsibility, administrative and public law litigation.

In particular, Jordan:

  • routinely advises corporations on all manner of disputes, including corporate governance and commercial litigation engagements;
  • was lead counsel in five significant inquests under the Coroners’ Act, representing professionals such as social workers and paramedics;
  • has a robust class proceedings practice, acting as both defence counsel and successful lead class counsel;
  • is often retained in defamation matters concerning political or public speech, and has been a member of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association roster of counsel for defamation cases;
  • with experience in sports-related disputes, Jordan acts for several national and provincial sports organizations, and frequently provides legal assistance to athletes through the Sports Disputes Resolution Centre of Canada’s pro bono program. Jordan has also acted in several doping hearings before the Doping Appeals Tribunal; and
  • is preferred counsel for LawPRO in defending solicitor’s negligence claims.

Jordan is consistently recognized for his advocacy by his peers and prominent publications, including Chambers & Partners, Lexpert, Benchmark Litigation, and Best Lawyers. These accolades span various practice areas, including general commercial, insolvency, product liability, professional responsibility, administrative, and public law litigation. Jordan is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, an invite-only trial advocacy society comprising less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers.

Jordan has presented at various conferences organized by the Law Society of Ontario, the Advocates Society, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Ontario Bar Association. Jordan has taught trial advocacy at Osgoode Hall’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop. Prior to co-founding Adair Goldblatt Bieber LLP, Jordan practiced at Lenczner Slaght LLP and Goldblatt Partners LLP.
