Robert maintains a broad litigation practice focused on commercial disputes, securities litigation, employment claims, and public law matters. He has acted as lead counsel at all levels of court in Ontario, as well as at the Capital Markets Tribunal. Robert’s passion for sport has developed into an active sports law practice, representing athletes and organizations in sports disputes, as well as acting as investigator, mediator, and arbitrator for a number of National Sport Organizations. Robert is recognized as a Future Litigation Star by Benchmark Litigation. Peers describe Robert as "a more junior partner, but an excellent one [who] ... seems like someone who's been in a courtroom for 25 years" (Benchmark Litigation, 2024). 

Before beginning practice, Robert graduated with distinction from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and worked as a judicial law clerk at the Court of Appeal for Ontario. He then pursued a Master of Laws at the University of Cambridge on the Right Honourable Paul Martin Sr. Scholarship, graduating with First Class Honours.

Outside of practice, Robert remains actively involved in the academic study of law. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where he teaches Legal Research & Writing. He is also currently co-authoring an update to Directors & Officers Liability in Canada published by LexisNexis.
