Cynthia Prescott, et al. v. Benchwood Builders Inc., et al.
Nathaniel Read-Ellis, Robert Stellick, and Ana Qarri represented Ecojustice Society Canada as intervener in this defamation law case, in which the Supreme Court of Canada will decide how Ontario’s anti-SLAPP regime treats online consumer reviews. Ecojustice intervened in the appeal to protect the right of conscientious consumers to speak up about harmful environmental practices without fear of legal action.
