Appeals & Judicial Review
Our lawyers have a wealth of experience and success in appeals and applications for judicial review, and are specifically sought by experienced trial counsel to bring and respond to such appellate proceedings. We also act as counsel for interveners in appellate courts, to advocate for important perspectives in significant areas of public and private law.
Our lawyers—many of whom themselves clerked at superior and appellate courts—bring their experience and judgment to bear in determining where a case was won or lost, and what issues and arguments will find favour with appellate judges.
In the administrative context, we similarly advise and act for clients bringing or responding to applications for judicial review of administrative decisions, including in relation to academic affairs, licensing issues, reports by statutory Integrity Commissioners, and other statutory frameworks.
