John Adair and Sean Pierce, together with co-counsel Anil Kapoor, represented one of the respondents in two consolidated appeals. The Federal Court of Appeal upheld the Designated Judge’s decisions denying disclosure to the appellants of information that the respondent—a defendant in an underlying civil action commenced by the appellants—had submitted to the Attorney General of Canada as part of a proceeding under the national security provisions of the Canada Evidence Act.
