Julia Wilkes is a partner at Adair Goldblatt Bieber LLP.
Julia maintains a general civil litigation and administrative law practice. She acts for clients in private shareholder disputes, class actions, securities litigation, and in defence of directors and officers, accountants, and legal professionals. Julia represents parties in administrative proceedings, including judicial review applications, and provides advice to municipal integrity commissioners, athletes, university students, and pharmacists. In addition, Julia regularly acts as a mediator and arbitrator in sports disputes related to member conduct and athlete carding.
Julia has acted as counsel in the Court of Appeal for Ontario and Superior Court of Justice. She regularly appears before administrative tribunals including the University Tribunal at the University of Toronto, the Ontario Securities Commission, and the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board.
Before joining Adair Goldblatt Bieber LLP, Julia completed her articles at Paliare Roland Rosenberg Rothstein LLP and practiced as an associate at Wardle Daley Bernstein Bieber LLP.
Julia is a volunteer director and officer of Triathlon Ontario and is a past member of the University of Toronto HIV/AIDS Research Ethics Board. Julia is committed to enhancing legal education by ensuring that students have an opportunity to interact with members of the bar. She is an active volunteer in the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Alumni-Student Mentorship Program and maintains ties to Downtown Legal Services, the student legal clinic at the University of Toronto.
