AGB ranks "elite" in Chambers Canada Guide 2026

Chambers & Partners has just released the Chambers Canada 2026 Guide, differentiating the best legal talent across a range of provincial, national and international law firms in the country. AGB is incredibly proud to announce that our firm and lawyers have again been recognized for litigation excellence. Year-over-year, our firm and lawyers continue to rise in Chambers' rankings. You can view our firm's full Chambers page here.

This year is no exception. Our firm is included in Chambers' newly-minted, top-tier category for commercial litigation: Litigation: General Commercial - Elite. Inclusion in this new "Elite" category recognizes our boutique as a true litigation heavyweight, alongside the country's leading full-service firms and other well-established litigation firms.

However, more important to us than this label is our clients' experience. Chambers' research reveals that, in addition to noting the strength of our knowledge and advocacy in complex litigation, our clients consistently emphasized our creativity, responsiveness, reliability, and pragmatism. Our clients' comments also continue to highlight our firm's deep bench strength, noting that "[e]very lawyer we have worked with at this firm has been extremely capable" and "I have had a high-quality experience with lawyers at all levels of seniority when working with this firm."

It is therefore no surprise that growing numbers of our lawyers continue to be recognized individually by Chambers, with new AGB lawyers added to the rankings with each passing year:

  • Gord McGuire joins the Chambers rankings this year as an "up and coming" lawyer nationwide in Insurance: Dispute Resolution, with one client noting that "[f]or complex insurance litigation, Gord is a go-to."
  • Nate Read-Ellis, described as "a really bright guy who has an expertise in problem-solving", also joins Chambers this year as an "up and coming" lawyer in Litigation: General Commercial. Clients appreciate that "Nathaniel's communication with clients is great" and that "he has an ability to learn with them and explains things well."
  • Julia Wilkes is recognized again this year as an "up and coming" lawyer in Litigation: Administrative & Public Law. This year, Julia's clients note that "she is as skilled dealing with a regulatory matter as she is with a complex commercial dispute", that "Julia's quality of work and responsiveness to inquiries always impresses", and that "she has the right combination of skill, knowledge, and expertise."
  • John Adair continues to be ranked for Litigation: General Commercial. He is "particularly recognized for his handling of commercial litigation", with clients describing him as a "great, creative litigator".
  • Simon Bieber continues to be ranked for Litigation: General Commercial, "commended by market observers for burgeoning reputation in commercial advocacy" and his "wide-ranging contentious practice". Clients this year describe him as "brilliant, analytical and reliable" and "an expert and great-problem-solver.
  • Jordan Goldblatt continues to be ranked for Litigation: General Commercial, with clients describing him as "very creative and solution oriented", "an expert in his area", and "very professional, precise and efficient".

These rankings - especially the ever-increasing number of our lawyers individually recognized - are a testament to AGB's increasing presence and entrenchment as one of Canada's premier litigation boutiques.
