International Bar Association Annual Conference - Toronto 2025
The International Bar Association Annual Conference is taking place in Toronto November 2-7. Our lawyers are looking forward to connecting with and learning from their peers from across the globe.
That includes AGB partner, Nathaniel Read-Ellis, who is participating in a roundtable discussion on November 3, hosted by the British Canadian Chamber of Trade and Commerce. The discussion - titled Developing the UK-Canadian Relationship: Challenges, Trends and Opportunities - will bring the United Kingdom’s GREAT Legal Services delegation to the conference together with Canadian law firm partners, in-house counsel, and investment and regulatory voices to explore and pursue the strengthening of the UK-Canadian relationship.
In particular, the event will look at the challenges and opportunities facing corporations and lawyers in both nations, covering themes related to corporate and commercial law, litigation, and practice management, including:
- the impact of global trade developments, and managing risk for corporations and individuals involved in cross-border business;
- litigation and cross-border disputes; and
- the use of AI and technology in legal practice, including ethical, regulatory and practical considerations in both Canada and the UK.
