Partnership and Joint Venture Disputes
Our lawyers regularly litigate and resolve all manner of partnership and joint venture disputes, both in courts and through alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration. We are deeply familiar with the statutory frameworks and common law principles that govern disputes in relation to varied business and ownership structures, including general partnerships, limited partnerships, limited liability partnerships, and joint ventures. We regularly act in all manner of disputes that arise from and exist within these structures, including in relation to:
- The disputed existence of partnerships and joint ventures;
- Breaches and enforcement of the related agreements;
- Allegations of mismanagement and misconduct, including fraud, misappropriation, and breaches of fiduciary and other duties;
- Termination, dissolution and winding-up partnerships and joint ventures, including buy-out rights and obligations;
- Enforcement of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements; and
- Disputes over the the valuation of partnership and joint venture property and assets.
