Caroline Harrell completes 3-year CPA specialized tax program
Please join us in congratulating Caroline Harrell on completing the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada's three-year In-Depth Tax Program (IDTP).
The IDTP uses a variety of learning modalities, including independent study, teamwork, lectures, and group tutorials with expert feedback and performance evaluation at every step to train and elevate the knowledge and skillset of the next generation of tax professionals--lawyers and accountants, alike.
This week marked the end of the three-year, intensive program. During a week-long, in-person residence at Blue Mountain, Caroline participated in lecture and tutorial sessions taught by leading tax practitioners. The week culminated with a full-day, comprehensive case study. You can learn more the course and its curriculum here.
Caroline began this program while pursuing a career as a tax litigator. Now that she has expanded her practice to include commercial and civil litigation more broadly, her background and education in tax give her a strong understanding of her clients' businesses, as well as the broader business context of their commercial disputes. Her clients also benefit from her specialized knowledge and perspective on their tax-related litigation issues, as well as the tax implications of their legal disputes and resolutions.
