Alex Fidler-Wener is a partner at Adair Goldblatt Bieber LLP and the firm’s Director of Operations.
Alex oversees the firm’s strategic direction and day-to-day operations. She works closely with the Managing Partner to develop and implement initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture and optimize each client’s experience by promoting excellence, efficiency, and innovation.
Alex maintains a broad civil litigation practice, including corporate and commercial disputes, professional regulation and liability, class actions, administrative proceedings, constitutional litigation, and investigations. She helps her diverse client base – from large corporations and smaller private companies, to individuals and public sector stakeholders – identify and achieve their litigation objectives with care, efficiency, and precision. Alex has represented clients before administrative tribunals, all levels of court in Ontario, and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Alex began her career clerking for the judges of the Court of Appeal for Ontario. While studying at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, Alex received a number of awards recognizing her overall academic achievement, including the McCarthy, Tetrault Prize and the Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP Award. She also received awards recognizing her specific achievements in health and administrative law.
Alex is committed to the provision of pro bono legal services. She is an active participant in Pro Bono Ontario’s Divisional Court Amicus Program and Free Legal Advice Hotline.
