Alex maintains a broad civil, commercial, and administrative litigation practice, acting for a diverse client base that includes public and private companies, professionals and their insurers, and integrity commissioners. Her experience spans complex commercial and partnership disputes, professional regulation and liability, public law and accountability frameworks, employment litigation, and class actions.
Alex also regularly conducts independent workplace investigations on behalf of private and public companies and public institutions, investigating whistleblower complaints, allegations of fraud, conflicts of interest, sexual harassment, and other violations of workplace policies.
Recognized by Best Lawyers as amongst Canada's "Ones to Watch" in Corporate and Commercial Litigation and Administrative and Public Law, Alex has delivered results for clients at tribunals, arbitration and mediation, all levels of court in Ontario, and the Supreme Court of Canada. She began her legal career clerking for judges of the Court of Appeal for Ontario, where she gained unique insight into how judges think and what drives their decision making.
As AGB's Director of Operations, Alex oversees the firm's strategic direction and day-to-day management. She develops and implements initiatives that simultaneously foster a positive workplace and optimize the client experience by promoting excellence, efficiency, and innovation. Alex is particularly passionate about supporting the firm’s students and lawyers with the training, opportunities, and mentorship essential to the development of fulfilling legal careers.
