John Adair inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers
At a ceremony held in Washington, DC on October 11, 2025, AGB partner John Adair was inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Fellowship in the ACTL is extended by invitation only to outstanding litigators in the US and Canada whose professional careers have been marked by the very highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, integrity, professionalism, and collegiality. There are many honours available in legal practice, but there is absolutely no question that membership in the ACTL is among the most exclusive, and impressive.
John is an eminently deserving recipient. "He embodies the utmost excellence in litigation and advocacy, exemplifying the very best of our profession," reflects Jordan Goldblatt, our firm's Managing Partner and John's colleague of over a decade. "I don’t need to tell the people with whom John works on a daily basis about his excellence as a litigator. I would note that what makes John exceptional (at least in my view) is his work ethic and judgment. He may not succeed in every argument, but his clients can have no more thorough analysis of the best arguments available, thought through and considered from all aspects." Our firm's lawyers are incredibly fortunate to benefit from John's training, mentorship, and guidance, as well as the example he sets in committing every day to honing his craft, even having reached the heights he has.
About the American College of Trial Lawyers
The ACTL is a distinguished organization of trial lawyers in North America, dedicated to maintaining and improving the standards of trial practice, professionalism, ethics, and the administration of justice. It strives to preserve and enhance these objectives through support of an independent judiciary, the rule of law, trial by jury, and access to justice.
There are currently over 5,800 Fellows across the US and Canada, and membership can never be more than 1% of the total lawyer population of any state or province. Eligible lawyers are called to Fellowship in the College from all branches of trial practice. The ACTL is thus able to speak with a balanced voice on important issues affecting the administration of justice.
