Kate is a summer law student at Adair Goldblatt Bieber and a JD candidate at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, charting her path to a career in litigation.

Kate achieved the highest standing in her first year of law school, for which she received the Langford Rowell Prize, Aird & Berlis Prize, McCarthy Tetrault Prize, and Fasken Martineau DuMoulin Prize. Kate has also earned course prizes in The Law of Work, Contract Law, and Animals and the Law. 

Kate has proven her ability to translate this academic success into compelling advocacy. She represented the University of Toronto in the Tort Law Moot, where she won the Lerners Scholarship for Best Factum. Kate has also developed strong foundations in legal research, writing, and advocacy through her involvement with the David Asper Center for Constitutional Rights. Kate spent a summer as a research assistant for the Asper Center, and continued as a Student Volunteer in the Bail Reform Working Group, and then as Co-Leader of the Interventions Working Group. 

Prior to attending law school, Kate studied History, Canadian Studies and Classical Civilization at the University of Toronto. After graduating from law school, Kate will continue honing her advocacy skills as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Court of Appeal for Ontario.
