Gord McGuire co-chairs OsgoodePD intensive on insurance coverage litigation
AGB partner Gord McGuire is co-chairing a half-day, intensive program on litigating insurance coverage disputes, presented by Osgoode Professional Development.
At Insurance Coverage Litigation: Critical Insights and Emerging Issues, insurance industry business and legal professionals will receive critical legal updates and practical guidance on how to effectively navigate (and how avoid costly missteps and risks!) in this increasingly complex, rapidly evolving, and specialized area of commercial litigation.
Gord was interviewed by Osgoode PD about the event, noting that in addition to lawyers who act on either side of insurance coverage disputes, the program is well-suited for in-house counsel and other professionals in the insurance industry, including claims adjusters and public adjusters. "What really distinguishes this program is that the presenters are typically senior leaders in their field, offering practical guidance and tips that you can put to use in your own practice."
Talking about his own specialization in this practice area, Gord reflected that "[a] number of years in [to practice], I discovered insurance law and fell in love, particularly when it came to acting for policyholders when insurance companies refuse to pay." Gord's passion for this area has translated into his becoming a well-respected leader of this niche and highly specialized bar. He is a go-to lawyer to represent individuals going toe-to-toe with insurance companies denying coverage for their claims. You can learn more about our firm's practice in this area here.
