On March 30th, 2025, the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic hosted its annual SHE MATTERS fundraiser, in support of the Clinic's essential work to eradicate violence against women and gender-diverse individuals, and empower the bravery of survivors. AGB was proud to sponsor the event, and to have many of its lawyers attend in support.

The event brought together leaders, professionals, and community partners to learn about the impactful work of the Clinic and celebrate the bravery of women and gender-diverse individuals whose lives have been impacted by violence.  Our lawyers and their guests had a great time discussing the Clinic’s important work and its exciting plans for the future.

The Clinic offers legal services and representation, trauma-informed counselling and multilingual interpretation to diverse women and gender-diverse people who have experienced violence. They cultivate women and gender-diverse people’s skills and resilience by fostering their safety, dignity, and equality, and they amplify women and gender-diverse people’s voices to create individual and collective change. 

Since its founding in 1985, the Clinic has assisted more than 100,000 women and gender-diverse survivors of violence through its direct services, advocacy efforts, legal reform, submissions, projects, and programs.
