AGB is pleased to welcome Marisa Benjamin to the firm.
Marisa is developing a broad litigation practice. Prior to AGB, she completed her articles at Torys LLP and obtained her law degree from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, with the Certificate in Aboriginal Legal Studies. During law school, Marisa was Co-Editor in Chief of the Indigenous Law Journal, a Senior Associate Editor of the Faculty of Law Review, and a Research Assistant for the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Law.
Marisa's advocacy style is shaped by her background in rhetoric. Before law, Marisa studied psychology, business, and English at the University of Waterloo. She obtained a Master's degree in Rhetoric and Communication Design, researching how political movements grow, thrive, or fail based on the power of language. Marisa took what she learned and applied it as the head of communications for an internationally renowned research centre. She brings these experiences into her legal practice and advances her clients' cause through compelling advocacy.
Please join us in welcoming Marisa!
