Start Proud: Out On Bay Street 2024 Conference
On September 20, 2024, AGB lawyers Katie Glowach and Rachel Allen will be participating in Start Proud's annual conference - Out On Bay Street ("OOBS") 2024.
The conference hosts three different Case Competitions, one Legal Moot, one Business Case, and one Marketing Case. Katie will be participating as a judge of the moot, which provides a platform for law students and aspiring legal professionals to demonstrate their expertise in legal argumentation, critical thinking, and public speaking.
Rachel has been working tirelessly to organize the conference as the Vice President of Learning & Development for Start Proud.
Founded in 2007, Start Proud is a non-profit organization and national movement that champions the rights and opportunities of 2SLGBTQ+ individuals across Canada. The organization is a network of 2SLGBTQ+ professionals and students dedicated to creating environments where everyone can succeed and thrive. They collaborate with top institutions and employers to ensure queer people have access to safe, supportive spaces where they can reach their full potential. Through its programs and partnerships, Start Proud strives to make workplaces and communities more inclusive for all.
